I bought this refurbished Cuisinart Core Custom to save money, and overall it works well. The 13-cup bowl is a good size for family meals, and the included discs handle slicing and shredding nicely. The stainless steel finish looks sharp. However, being refurbished, it only has a 90-day warranty, which is short. Also, the instruction booklet is basic. The motor is decent, but it vibrates a bit on high speed. For $185, it's a capable machine, just keep the warranty in mind.
